Mona Akl

Our Chief Operating Officer brings with her 40 years of experience in managing international corporations across jurisdictions and industries.

Mona spent most of her career in the construction and engineering industry. She is one of the few women in the Arab world to have held such a position, managing all the central operations in one of the leading construction companies in the MENA region. She has been instrumental in the business’ successful litigation of major arbitration cases under a variety of rules, in complex and challenging situations. Having witnessed her resolve and effectiveness as a client, we are delighted to have her on board for the next phase of the development of Obeid & Partners in its new geographies and to help us future-proof our firm.

Mona holds a Masters in Applied Mathematics from Université Paris V and an Advanced Management Program Degree from INSEAD.
